Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This policy explains what personal data RatedbyLeaders collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English because that is how we think privacy policies should be written.

Who controls your data

RatedbyLeaders RatedbyLeaders is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy query, contact hello@ratedbyleaders.com.

Our legal basis for processing your data

What we collect from reviewers

How your review appears

You choose: full name, role and sector only, or fully anonymous. We never publish your name without your explicit selection. Whatever you choose publicly, we always verify your identity privately.

What we collect from companies

Company enquiry details: company name, website, contact name and email address, plus your consent preference for being contacted. We use these to respond to your enquiry and set up your profile.

What we never do

Aggregated insights

With reviewer consent, we share anonymised, aggregated trends with subscribing companies (for example, what proportion of leaders in a sector are seeking coaching). These insights never identify individuals and cannot be reverse-engineered to do so.

Where your data lives

Data is stored securely in the United Kingdom (London region) with our infrastructure provider. Access is restricted to the RatedbyLeaders founding team.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted processors to run the platform, each bound by their own data protection obligations:

None of these processors are permitted to use your data for their own purposes. Where any processor is based outside the UK or EEA, they are required to provide an equivalent standard of protection, for example through Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your basic preferences (such as a cookie-consent choice). We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of your data, or deletion of your data and any reviews at any time by contacting us through the enquiry form on our homepage. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Retention

Published reviews remain live while the platform operates or until you request removal. Verification documents are deleted after verification. Enquiry data is kept while we have an active relationship with you and deleted on request.
