This document sets out the commercial terms that apply once a company claims a profile, subscribes to a paid plan, purchases a sponsored slot, or sells through RatedbyLeaders' direct purchase feature. It sits alongside, and should be read together with, our general Terms and Conditions.
Anyone can write a review of your company, a profile is created automatically the moment the first review comes in, whether or not you have claimed it. Claiming is free and gives you the ability to reply to reviews, edit your description, and see leads (subject to subscription, see below).
To protect the integrity of the platform, we verify that the person claiming a profile is genuinely connected to that company, primarily by checking that the email domain used matches the company's known website domain. Where it does not match, the claim is held pending a manual check by our team before it is finalised. We will tell you when this applies to your claim.
We offer the following subscription tiers:

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not provide partial refunds for the remainder of a paid period.
Only the Engage plan currently offers a free trial, lasting 30 days from claim. No card is required to start. When a trial ends without converting to a paid subscription, the account downgrades automatically and Engage-tier features lock until you subscribe. We will notify you by email before the trial ends.
We may, at our discretion, grant a free or discounted subscription outside of this billing flow, for example during a launch period. Where we do, this will be clearly marked as admin-granted in your dashboard and may be withdrawn or converted to a paid subscription with notice.
A "lead" is a record of someone who registered interest in your company or a specific programme. Every lead is logged the moment it happens, and you will always be notified that a lead has arrived. Whether you can see who it is depends on your subscription, on a plan or trial without lead access, you will be told a lead exists without its contact details, as an incentive to subscribe.
We offer sponsored placements on the live feed and marketplace, at fixed weekly prices we set and may revise over time as demand changes. You reserve a slot by submitting your creative and completing payment; the slot goes live once payment is confirmed and runs for the period purchased, after which it becomes available again to any company.
We reserve the right to decline or remove any ad creative that is misleading, breaches these terms, or that we otherwise consider inappropriate for the platform, with no obligation to refund time already served unless the removal was due to our own error.
Depending on your subscription, you may enable direct purchase of your programmes, courses, events or coaching through the platform. This is optional. You can instead choose to receive lead contact details only and handle the sale yourself.
Where you enable direct purchase:
You cannot pay, request, or otherwise influence the removal or alteration of a genuine review. You may publicly reply to any review. You may flag a review you believe is not genuine for our team to look into, see our Review Integrity Policy for how that process works.
You must not invite reviews in a way that selects only for positive outcomes, and must not offer any incentive in exchange for a review. Misuse of the review system is grounds for suspension.
Companies on a paid subscription may download a badge showing their current score for use on their own website and marketing materials, in line with our brand guidelines provided in your dashboard. The badge must always reflect your real, current score. You may not alter, freeze, or otherwise misrepresent the figure shown.
We may suspend or terminate a company's access to the platform, including an existing subscription, where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, including fake review activity, misuse of the lead or direct purchase features, or providing false information during the claim verification process. Where reasonably possible we will tell you why before doing so.
Our liability to you under these terms is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose, except where liability cannot be limited under UK law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
